Anastasia originates in Greek language and means "resurrection". It is a feminine form of Anastasius. It is a name of several saints and probably the most famous Anastasia is a woman named Anna Anderson who claimed to be Grand Duchess Anastasia, a member of the Russian royal family murdered by the Bolsheviks.
