Bathsheba
Hebrew
Daughter of the vow
Batsheba originates in Hebrew language and means "daughter of the vow". In the Bible, she was the wife of David, king of the United Kingdom of Israel and Judah, and also the mother of Solomon, the next king after David. For that reason, Bathsheba was also called the Queen Mother. As a feminine given name it is rather rare today.
