Hercules is a Latin variant of Heracles. Heracles originates in Greek language and means "Hera's glory". In Greek mythology, Heracles was the son of Zeus and Alcmene, hated by Hera. Being the Olympian order champion, he became a symbol of strength, courage and sexual fitness. In Rome, and later on in Western world, he is known as Hercules.
