Zinovia is a variant of Zenobia. Zenobia originates in Greek language and means "the life of Zeus". It was the name of the Palmyrene Empire Queen in Roman Syria in the 3rd century. This was also the name of the 1939 comedy starring Oliver Hardy. As a feminine given name Zenobia is very unusual in the United States.
