Theresa T.'s Story
Theresa is a sweet and friendly 10 years old German Shepherd whose owners were evicted from their home. With no where else to go that allows their dog Theresa was abandoned at the Moreno Animal Shelter and they never returned to claim her. Unfortunately, many wonderful dogs are left at the shelter for similar reasons and far to frequently the shelter becomes the dog`s final memory.
Fortunately, this is NOT the case for Theresa. The Thulani Program learned that time was running out for her and by working with local volunteers and fundraisers like the Miracle GSD Network Theresa was rescued from the shelter and is now on her way to a temporary foster home where she will be safe and loved.
While at the shelter Theresa was observed to be an extremely sweet dog that goes out of her way to be friendly and engaging to anyone that visits her. She also gets along well with other dogs, big and small.
Theresa does have some medical conditions that need to be looked into right away however... so her adoption availability may be delayed a short period.
As you may notice is her pictures below she has a good size firm mass on her right front sholder that may be part of the reason she has a slight limp. This may need to be removed. She may also have some arthritis that contributes to the limp but this is fairly common condition for German Shepherd`s of her age and can often be managed with regular light exercise and/or anti-inflammatory medication.

The mission of The Thulani Program is to save adoptable senior or terminally ill German Shepherds so that they may be able to feel love in their golden years instead of languishing in a cold shelter afraid and alone.
Theresa T. has just been accepted into the GSRNC Thulani Program. Theresa will receive lots of love and pampering and will also receive any medical care necessary to her well being. Because she has been excepted into the Thulani Program here medical expenses will be covered by The Thulani Progam for the rest of her life.
As soon a Theresa is ready The Thulani Program will be looking to match her with a forever adoptive home that will care for her for the rest of her life. Theresa will come with a supply of food, a cushy pad if wanted, and other goodies such as toys. AND... as just mentioned, her medical expenses are covered by The Thulani Program even after adoption.
