Allie's Story

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

2/20/16 Allie is a Beagle mix who came to us with her litter of puppies. They had been dumped at the shelter and we rescued them from there. Her puppies have all long since been adopted. But Allie is still here waiting for someone to love her. She is a good girl who gets along well with other dogs. Allie`s only issue is that when she is in a cage or crate, like when I took her to the vet to be spayed, she is scared of people she doesn`t know and she lashes out. Once she is out of the crate/cage, she is fine. She is also afraid of people with hats on. But once she knows you, she is fine if you have on a hat and she is fine with being approached in her crate if she knows the person approaching. I think it`s safe to say she was likely abused before she went to the shelter. She needs to be with people who understand she has some fear issues, and will be patient with her while she learns that she can trust them. She is about 2 years old, spayed, up to date, and tested negative for heartworms at the shelter. She weighs about 35lbs. Allie is located in Arkansas but out of state transport is available.
