Daphne's Story
**LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY** Please apply only if you're local to Central FL and willing to drive this precious pup to ALL follow-up appointments on our timeline. Her spay (when old enough) + microchip are included with your adoption donation and must be completed with our vet in Central Florida, scheduled by our coordinator. Meet Daphne! This 2-month-old Dachshund blend pup weighs 7 lbs. Daphne is the perfect blend of playful and sweet! She is sure to make a wonderful addition to a loving family. General Behavior: Daphne is a very gentle girl. Her daily routine consists of playing happily with her siblings, then retreating with great delight to her humans for a nice snuggle session in your lap. Likes & Dislikes: Aside from a quality snuggle session, like most puppies, Daphne enjoys yummy snacks, playing with her toys, and a nice long nap! Training: As a young pooch, Daphne will require a patient family committed to all things puppy. She will need to be taught skills such as basic manners, leash walking, and house training. Medical: Daphne is a healthy girl and will just require her monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Other Animals: This fluffy pup enjoys the company of other dogs and wouldn't mind sharing a home with another. She is also a good friend to felines! Children: A home with children would be just fine for this sweet girl. Home: A single-family home or dog-friendly apartment living would be perfect for Daphne! She requires a family that is not away from home more than 4 hours at a time, and can offer her the attention, training, and exercise she needs as she grows. Grooming: Daphne has a beautiful fluffy coat that may need occasional grooming as she gets older, in addition to regular baths and nail trims.
