Bertha's Story
Meet Bertha! Bertha is one of 7 puppies we are currently bottle raising. Their mom, a Great Pyrenees, tragically passed away when the puppies were just 8 days old. Dad is a Maremma. These puppies will not be ready for adoption until mid or late January. Given the breeds, we are accepting applications early. Please note we only adopt to homes where the dog will be a member of an indoor family. As these puppies are not being raised in a farm environment, we will not be placing them in working homes. We complete home visits with all of our adoptions and require a fully fenced in yard, attached to the home. Given the nature of both breeds, please research both breeds before applying as these breeds are not for everyone or every home. The babies were born on 11.11.2023. They have been bottle raised in a home with 24/7 attention. They are also being raised with other dogs of all sizes. If you are interested in meeting Bertha or any of her siblings, the first step is to complete an application at our website, www.helporphanpuppies.org. Please note that our adoption requirements are noted on our website. Help Orphan Puppies is registered with the New York State Department of Agriculture and our registration number is RR047.
