Nick's Story
AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY. Meet Nick! Nick is a four month old male long haired dachshund puppy and he weighs about 10 pounds. Nick is still a growing puppy and could grow up to 25 pounds full grown, but we are unable to predict or guarantee full grown weight. Nick arrived in foster care when his human passed away and their family was unable to care for him. He has settled into a loving foster home that is helping him get the right start with all things puppy - house training, leash training, socialization and what is OK to chew and not chew, but he will need a patient family willing to keep working with him using positive reinforcement only! His foster mom says: Meet Nick, an endearing foster pup on his journey towards finding a forever home. While not yet leash-trained, he's making strides and showing promising progress. Although still mastering potty training, occasional accidents occur as he learns the ropes. Initially cautious around new faces, his heart warms swiftly once he feels comfortable. His love for food sometimes leads to playful attempts at sneaking bites from other pets. A connoisseur of naps and an enthusiastic explorer, he settles in comfortably within an Xpen at night. A true "lover boy," he thrives on affection. While he may emit light barks at outdoor sounds or strangers, his gentle nature shines through. Nick is a delightful blend of curiosity, budding confidence, and a whole lot of love waiting to be shared. Nick is neutered, up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. Nick is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $475.
