Izzy's Story
Born around 1/9/21, Izzy is an almost 3 year-old Australian Kelpie mix. She’s small at about 28 pounds, kind, and cuddly. Great with other dogs, cats, and children. She does get antsy around other dogs at first, more out of excitement. Izzy absolutely lights up when she is around kids, so she’d thrive as a family dog! She is house trained, but will have accidents if not taken out on a regular schedule. She will jump with excitement when her people get home, but otherwise not hyper. She sleeps in her crate at night with no problems. Very loving and truly loves cuddles. She would do best in a home with kids, a fenced yard, and more access to outside play throughout the day. If her people work from home, that would be ideal as she doesn’t want to be cooped up in a crate all day while her people are at work and will get into trouble if she isn’t crated when home alone. Her people decided rehoming her is best as they can’t give her what she deserves, so we are helping her find the right home! She is up to date on vaccinations, on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, microchipped, has been dewormed, heartworm negative, and is spayed. FYI: The adoption fee covers transport & health certificate costs to adopters in the DMV/PA/other northeast states. The dog is currently in Texas in her original owner’s home as she is fostering her until we get her adopted, and our transporters do runs every 2 weeks.
