Tinker's Story
Meet Tinker! This 10 year old Maltipoo is as sweet as they come! She's enjoying the good life with her foster mom and siblings. She's fully vetted with senior bloodwork done and a recent dental cleaning. Her foster mom says: "This Grand Ol’ Dame has been through a lot. That is why it took her a while to get used with the family routine and schedule. Once she settled in, her true personality shines. This incredibly sweet and mild-mannered senior is a perfectly lovely and low-maintenance addition to any home. When she first arrived, Tinker commandeered the couch as her spot. My boys gave her the space to decompress. When she finally felt at home, her motherly instincts came to fore. While I was in the couch with the other dogs, she came close and started to lick the other dogs, like she was kissing or cleaning them. Tinker is also very funny. When you call her to go out for a walk, she would burrow deep in the couch, hiding her head behind the pillows. She would rather do her business using the pee pads. But once outside, she takes her sweet time to observe her surroundings. This sweet old lady isn't bouncing off the walls by any means but, you'd be super surprised she loves a good walk!! Needs a good walk to get her going so she's not ready for that full retirement life yet. She walks well on a leash. She is getting familiar with city life. She is very friendly with children and other dogs. Tinker prefers dry food over wet food. She drinks a lot of water. Like everything she does, she eats slowly and savors her food. She would sit by her bowl and eat the kibble one piece at a time. But she soon learns that she needs to eat faster, otherwise, my other dog will try to steal her food. If you're in need of a cuddle buddy, Tinker is the perfect match for you. Her calm and loving presence will warm your heart and make every day a little brighter. Just give her the time and space she needs to acclimate to her new environment, and you'll see her true, affectionate nature shine through.
