Nori's Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Available for PREadoption Our Christmas miracle Back in December 4 Lucky Dogs took on our Christmas miracle Nori. Nori is an 8 year old, 5 pound Maltese mix who has beat all the odds! Thanks too so many people - Foster's Colette and Cheryl, staff at AMC and Pavilion, and lastly our generous donors!!! Nori has had to overcome several health issues since arriving at 4 Lucky Dogs. He came to us severely underweight with horribly rotten teeth that needed to be removed but first, he had to go through treatment for Pancreatitis that was a big setback to his weight gain. Nori will need to be neutered once he gains a little bit more weight. This resilient little guy hasn't skipped a beat though. He is happy, friendly, loves everyone (even the mean old cat in his foster home), but mostly loves: 1. FOOD and 2. His human. Nori is a Velcro dog to the max and is always right by his foster although he doesn't seem to have any issues being left alone either. He just curls up in his bed and quietly waits for me to return. Nori has had all his teeth removed which means he will be a restricted to a soft-food only diet, and due to his pancreatitis will likely need prescription food for the rest of his life. He eats like a champ though and is quick to remind you when he thinks it's breakfast or dinner time with his adorable "WOOOO-WOOOO" bark that earned him the nickname Rick Flair. He's still working on steadily gaining weight and currently wears a belly band inside due to his inability to hold his bladder for very long, this condition may improve with time as his body gets healthier, but there are no guarantees. The good news is- he doesn't mind wearing it one bit. Health issues aside, Nori is a snuggly, easy going little guy who's just looking for his forever lap to snuggle in. Due to his fragile nature, small children would not be recommend. He is dog friendly, but doesn't require a dog companion and if he did have a dog sibling he would do best with one that is independent, as he isn't really a play all day kind of dude and kind of keeps to himself and his human.
