Dusty's Story
Meet Dusty! Dusty is a 10-12 week old, wired hair terrier mix. He is learning that not all things in life are so scary. Once he has warmed up to you, he demands your attention and will continue to yell at you until you have sat down so he can cuddle. His favorite hobbies include vocalizing his concerns about his foster mom not sitting, letting the dog in the window know he isn't scared of him (his shadow) and napping on all the pillows. Dusty enjoys long walks in the snow and prefers not to see anyone else (people or animals) or he will effectively stop, drop and bury his head in the snow. He also enjoys cuddling on the couch, where he demands that he be always touching you, he has no clue how large his 3- month, 20+lb self is and likes to lay across you with his head on yours. He has also found that dog bones, toys that do not squeak (as they are way too scary) and treats are all the finer things in life. Dusty has been working on going potty outside and is doing a great job! He is crate trained but again, he will tell you all about yourself and ensure you hear it until he decides it's time for a nap. Once he is settled, he is a model pup and sleeps until he is woken up. Dusty will continue to work on his stranger danger fear and finding a love for all things in life with his foster family and his not so scary four pawed foster sister.
