Sasta's Story
Dog Name: Sasta Breed: Aussie/Collie Sex: Male Age: 10 weeks Weight: 15 pounds Medical Needs: Sasta needs to be neutered and has a scheduled appointment on 5/14 at the Georgetown BVSPCA. Adopters must keep his appointment as a condition of adoption. It is the adopters responsibility to bring him to the appointment. Adopters must either live in DE or within 1 hour of where the appointment will be scheduled. Housebroken: Puppy status right now. Puppy pad trained , currently taken out on a schedule an has had no accidents, no accidents in the puppy pen throughout the night . Crate trained: Sleeps through the night in the puppy pen with siblings and will take daily naps in the pen. He will often walk in the crate to play with a toy. If he needs to be contained for a while, he is fine with a chew bone in the pen. Good in the car: No problems riding in the car in a crate. Good on a leash: Work in progress. He's loves being outside walking around sniffing and playing and meeting people. He will pull when he's excited.. Energy level:He is still a puppy, plays hard but also a loves nap. Need a fenced in yard: Not if he has the proper amount of activity being walked on a leash or is on a lead being supervised and engaged in play. He currently enjoys supervised play out side in a fenced in yard . Dog Friendly: Absolutely! However he is still a puppy and proper introductions to new friends are important. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? He would Love it,but not necessary as long as he has adequate social interaction and play through out his day. Cat Friendly? Unknown. Kid Friendly: he's a puppy that enjoys people interaction. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Sasta is a Little Dog right now with an exuberant personality, and puppy teeth, supervision with all kids is highly recommended. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Sasta is an extremely happy and loving puppy. He enjoys playing with his siblings and people just as much as snuggling. He enjoys being outside exploring and interacting with all the world has to offer. He will be the highlight of your day.
