Rusty's Story
Meet Rusty! He's a charming 6 year old Yorkie/Pomeranian mix who's ready to bring his Southern charm to your life! This Mississippi boy is the perfect definition of a Southern gentleman, tipping the scales at just 6.5 pounds of pure sweetness. Rusty's journey hasn't been easy... he was surrendered along with his best friend Teddy when their owner could no longer care for them. Honestly this was for the best because they were in pretty rough shape when they came into our care. Since he's been with us, Rusty has been showered with love and care, and he's more than ready for his next chapter. Rusty is the ultimate purse pup, but only for the finest designer bags! ;) He loves to be by your side wherever you go, making him the perfect partner for shopping trips and cozy nights in. His favorite place is on your lap or nestled by your side, and he's always up for an adventure if it means being with you. Whether he's helping you pick out the perfect home décor at TJ Maxx or going for a ride in the car, Rusty will be your loyal companion every step of the way. This little cuddle bug has been great with other small, older dogs and is submissive, making him an excellent addition to a home with other pets. He previously lived in a home with a cat. Rusty prefers wet dog food and never says no to a tasty treat. He's working on his potty training (after a very inconsistent routine at his previous home), but as long as he can go out regularly, he does just fine. Rusty is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. The dog you are considering is located in South Mississippi. We conduct virtual meet and greets for out-of-town applicants and can provide for transport (fee added to cost of adoption) to many northeastern states. At this time we are not able to transport into Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine or Rhode Island.
