Fozzy Bear's Story
5/19/24: Foster or foster to adopt home needed! We're going to introduce you to the second of new arrivals that came in yesterday, Fozzy Bear. He is looking for foster to adopt home so that we can get to know him better and let them settle in. If you're willing to open up your heart and home to a new addition, fill out an application today! And don't forget to call your vet to give consent to talk to us when we call tomorrow! Meet Fozzy Bear! This little Pomeranian fellow appears to be 4-5 years old and only about 6-7#. We think he may have been kept in a crate long term and used for breeding. Even when he has room to run, he will walk in circles a bit prior to being picked up or placed down. Sometimes puppy mill dogs display this behavior when they have lived in cages their whole life. Fozzy came to rescue after being purchased at a flea market by a good samaritan who didn't want to see him get in to the wrong hands. He is a bit scared at first, but ince he warms up he seems good with adults. He has not been kid tested. Overall Fozzy is a very happy little boy that seems to know his life has changed for the better. We now need to show how how true this is! We think if you meet this little tike, Fozzy Bear will surely steal your heart ! Due to the limited inforamation we have at this time, foster to adopt requirements are: -Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY to continue their vetting in the upcoming weeks. -Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered. -Fozzy would likely do best with like sized dogs in the home. -Homes with children over 10 years old should be ok since he has shown well up until now. -Willing to have current dogs/family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match. -Having time available to care for, socialize and start training of a new pet. Preference will be given to homes with previous dog experience. An adoption donation of $400 is being asked, if you decide to adopt, in a few weeks, but fostering is free!! He has had his vet check, first vaccines, intestinal and external parasite treatment and has been neutered AND had a dental cleaning. It's a win-win situation!
