Elsie (NY)'s Story
Elsie is one of the most unusual and beautiful dogs we have acquired in a good while! She is a Schnauzer x Portuguese Waterdog mix. Elsie is one of the most unusual and beautiful dogs we have. She is 1-2 years old and weighs about 50 pounds. She has a beautiful thick terrier textured coat- but it is soft- not really wiry. She is a quiet shy girl, who is coming our of her shell and is more affectionate every day. She is a gentle spirit with beautiful soulful eyes. She moves slowly and tentatively and will need some time to fully decompress but this is one special girl. She is housebroken and working on leash walking. She is fine with other dogs and so far is not a barker at all. This one is a gem!! She is being fostered in Fulshear TX but we can have her brought to NY on rescue transport (once adopted) which brings dogs up once a month. Her adoption fee is $495 plus $30 for a health certificate and $220 for transport.
