me's Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13693 Hi, my name is da Vinci and I'm thought to be a Shar-Pei mix born around May 12, 2024. I love to play with my littermates and then get love from foster mom. Im very young and full of puppy energy. Every day I learn new things about the world and about how to have good puppy manners. My foster family says Im super sweet and snuggly and of course, you can see how adorable I am with my sweet wrinkly face. I'm doing a great job eating puppy food and learning to use the pee pads. I'm fostered in the Shenandoah Valley but foster mom is willing to meet my adopters partway to get me into my new home. I'll be ready to go home with my new family as early as July 8th and will be microchipped and have received age appropriate vaccines and monthly preventatives at that time. I love play time and naptime and exploring and romping with my sibling family and I will love you too if you bring me home to be your loving companion. What will you change my name to? What activities do you envision we could do together? Imagine the possibilities! To adopt fill out the simple online application at https://ophrescue.org Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. (OPH) rescues dogs and cats of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters in NC, VA, MD, and SC, reducing the numbers being euthanized. With limited resources, the shelters are forced to put down 50-90% of the animals that come in the front door. OPH provides pet adoption services to families located in VA, DC, MD, PA and neighboring states. OPH is a 501(c)(3) organization and is 100% donor funded. OPH does not operate a shelter or have a physical location. We rely on foster families who open their homes to give love and attention to each pet before finding a forever home. All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
