Zya's Story
Zya Rose, a petite 5 pound Yorkshire Terrier (5/20/2017) with a shy quiet demeanor, would love to be your constant companion. Although it does take her some time to warm up to new people, she loves everything and everyone she meets. She is more comfortable being introduced to new pets than she is new people. It takes her more time to trust people. Once a person earns her trust though, Zya will shower them with sweet little submissive kisses and nibble at their fingers. She gets along very well with the four dogs in her foster home and also likes cats. Zya has enjoyed the grandchildren in her foster home, although, because of her small size, children in her home must be dog savvy and gentle with her. Zya is affectionate and loves to be the recipient of your love and attention. She is content lounging in a soft bed or sitting beside you on the sofa. She wants to be where you are all the time and will be your shadow. Zya is working on her house habits and is doing well with an established routine and frequent trips outside. She will also use a pee pad. A home without carpet would be ideal for her. Zya will occasional mark and if her forever home does have carpet, she looks adorable in panties. Zya prefers to sleep in the bed with her foster parents at night. She is a cuddle bug and does not take up much room. When her foster family is away from home, Zya prefers not to be crated and has free reign of the kitchen and family room area (with pee pads by the doors). Zya loves to ride in the car. She fits easily in a little doggie carry bag and is happy going along to any dog-friendly destination. Zya is quiet and rarely barks. She would be a great dog to take to work or have in your home office. For a little girl, she is athletic and jumps easily on and off of furniture. She loves to go for walks a couple times a day and is first in line when the leashes come out. Zya is ready to have a family of her own.
