Whiskey Bravo's Story
******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Whiskey Bravo, 9 weeks (estimated DOB May 2024), female, Pitbull mix, estimated to be a large size when full grown. He is in a foster home in AUSTIN, TEXAS. This mom and puppies were rescued from euthanasia at a county shelter in Houston, Texas. Yes, the crisis is so overwhelming that even a nursing mom and puppies are at risk for euthanasia. She is one of the more outgoing out of the bunch. She is not fully housebroken and may take some time as he develops. She is not fully crate trained. She shares a home with dogs and kids (ages 5-18). We would prefer to see him in a home with another well balanced dog who can continue to mentor, socialize and teach healthy skills. We always recommend a home with kids who respect and understand animal boundaries. We have no history with cats. Whiskey Bravo is looking for a home who has an understanding of raising puppies into adult hood. This can be prior experience or someone who will seek support as needed (training, friends/family). Puppies bring so much joy, but also need intentional and committed attention. They need help socializing with new people, other dogs, leash work and basic obedience. Puppies under 6 months of age are placed on a spay/neuter contract until they are old enough to be altered. For puppies this age, someone needs to be home more than they are away as crating them for long periods of time is not conducive for their developmental needs. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her?
