Barbie's Story
******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Barbie, 10 weeks (estimated DOB 8/1/24), female, Cattle Dog/Pitbull Terrier mix, estimated to be a medium/large size when full grown. She is in a foster home in SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS and can transport out of state once an adopter is approved. Barbie and her four siblings were dumped at a local PetSmart in the San Antonio area. Thankfully, a person working at the store picked them up and was able to foster them. Barbie is a sweet love bug who is both playful and curious but also enjoys her chill time. She loves to cuddle. She is not fully housebroken (is working on it) and has spent some time crated. She is able to interact with other dogs and is your typical playful puppy. We have no history with cats or kids. For kids, we always recommend and consider homes where families understand the importance of healthy boundaries and supervision between children and animals. We recommend a home with another well-balanced dog to help mentor Kendall. If no other dog in the home, please note your plan for socialization once old enough to do so. Puppies bring a lot of joy, but they also require dedication to socialization, leash training, and basic obedience. Puppies under 6 months of age are placed on a spay/neuter contract until they are old enough to be altered. For puppies this age, someone needs to be home more than they are away as crating them for long periods of time is not conducive for their developmental needs. If you work outside of the home longer than 4 hours, please explain who will is available to spend time with this puppy while you are aware. If that information is not included, we will not consider your application. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her?
