Pearl's Story

Pearl originally came to Save The Dals in 2008, but has now been returned to us. A sad situation with her former owners requires us to once again find a forever home for her. The fact that she lived with them for eight years, and that they are devastated to give her up, tells you a lot about her.

Pearl is a female Dalmatian and Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. As you can see from her photos, she is a lightly spotted white dog with striking black ears. At nine years old, she is the perfect match for a family looking to adopt a dog who has both training and a settled attitude.

Pearl was surrendered because the other female dog in her family’s home became aggressive toward her. Eventually, she was attacked. Considering this history, Pearl would not do well in a home with another female. However, she would be happy and content in one with a male dog, or one with no dog at all. Pearl is good with cats. She could easily be the solo, mature companion sought by a family with older children, or even a younger couple without children, or in a multitude of other situations. She would be the perfect match for those in which the new owner does not want, or is not prepared, to take on the challenging requirements of a puppy, but who is nevertheless looking for a dog equally sweet and affectionate.

At a time where there are so many young pups up for sale or adoption, Pearl is the perfect choice for someone seeking a different sort of dog. She is both loving and mature, as well as completely housebroken, and very well behaved. No training would be required. Pearl loves to go for walks with her owners and also enjoys playing fetch. She thinks she is a lap dog!

She is healthy, spayed, micro chipped, and current on all her vaccinations. An easier adoption couldn’t be found. Pearl can be yours and you can have the pleasure and ease of a stable and affectionate older companion.

We place our dogs in the Southern California or nearby areas only. We do not ship dogs.

Adoption fees range from $275 to $400. The lower end is charged for older dogs and the higher end is for puppies or young dogs.

If you live in or near Southern California and would like to be considered as an adopter, please complete our online application form at http://www.savethedals.org/form_adopt.htm Since we sometimes have trouble with our server, be sure to save a copy of the application before you hit submit, or copy and paste it into a word doc and save it before hitting submit.
