The Lhasa Apso is known to be an intelligent little dog, but one that boasts a bit of an obstinate, stubborn streak in them which can make it harder to train them if training is left too late. It's essential for puppies to be well socialised from a young age and this involves introducing them to as many new situations, people and other dogs as well as animals as soon as they are fully vaccinated. Because they are known to be quite sensitive by nature, any harsh handling or raised voices would not achieve the best results.
With this said, spoiling a Lhasa Apso would also have disastrous results with dogs becoming wilful, unruly and showing a more dominant side to their characters which is something to be avoided at all costs.
